As well as information we offer the chance to troubleshoot your mac on our forums. So why not join the community head over to the macmend forums and get some machelp. As a community we dont’t try to muddle you with deep tech or look downour noses at you if you are a beginner. Using computers should be easy and so should getting help. Its why we use macs and why we like them.
Sometimes all thats needed is a restart if a disk wont eject because “its in use”
If your Mac starts up with and you try to login and you’ve forgotten your password, you will need the OS X CD/DVD that came with your mac. Put the Disc in and restart, holding the C key to make sure your Mac boots from the DVD.
Once its restarted and before you are asked to install anything You’ll find a Utilities menu that includes a Reset Password command. Do it, then restart, holding down the left mouse-button.
If you used FileVault Security to encrypt your home folder, then things are a bit different.Because it is unfortunately not possible to over ride the FileVault password…you must never forget it or you will need to reformat your disk and start again.
For years we searched for decent accounting software on mac that lived up to its name, we tried them all Quick this and that, MYOB, Accountz and some in between, some shareware and some competely out there.
So surfing around I found this photo, which says it all for me. To be honest I am getting a bit sick of uber cool dudes being used to promote computers. Everyone is so clean and wholesome. The reality is microsoft owns part of Apple, they are both big players producing operating systems. There is a convergence going on. What we want to know is how much willl it cost, not just in money but in time and energy. So much at the moment is given away and the move toward virtual online operating systems is inevitable. In the mean time enjoy this photo.
We wanted it when it first came out and complained about being left behind when google didn’t bother with a mac version of chrome.
