I use a mighty mouse and although it sometimes sticks and the cord gets dirty, that is not the problem. The problem is that the cursor sometimes shoots of diagonally. I hoped that Snow Leopard would cure this. All solutions gratefully received.

sounds like you have a duff mouse or dirt on the light or mirror in the bottom, what is the surface like you run the mouse on?

I am having issues with my mouse. I can scroll up but I cannot scroll down. It is as though it is not sensing that I am moving the scroll down. Is this a defect in the mouse? Or is there something I need to do to fix this issue?

is this a might mouse too. If you have a lens/screen cleaning cloth, the the kind that comes with a laptop or imac, turn the mouse onto its scrolling nipple and rub this onto the cloth, back and forth and side to side, this can clear any dirt that may be effecting its performance, also check the bottom is free of dirt.
