I attempted to load a photo disc of pictures (DVD) and did something wrong. Iwas going to make a copy of it. My screen shows "copying' in progress, but it's frozen. I hit stop and nothing happens, it just highlights the progress screen again.
I tried rejecting it with the keyboard function and "eject disc" in the menu, logging off and on. I keep getting the message I can't eject the disc because it's in use. I'm concerned and now believe I lost all the contents on the disc. I have an IMAC OS 10.8 system and new on the MAC. A former PC guy in trouble. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thx U, George

well DVD ought to be OK as its hard copied. If it were me I would restart my mac and run a few maintenance routines running OnyX from:

Sounds like your mac might need some disk repair too, I like to recommend Diskwarrior for this though their is a basic disk repair system that comes with your Mac OS install disk which you would need to start up from in order to use it.
